The Plague Doctor's main priority is keeping their team alive, and if everybody's fine, inflicting various status effects on the bigger enemies that wear them down and tax their Deathblow Resistance saves. Allies struggling to keep their blood inside them? Battlefield Medicine will pick them up. Being attacked at range by artillery-focused foes? Trigger Blinding Gas to cripple their accuracy. Opposition got their own healers? Throw poison at the back two ranks.
Big enemy? Blight them and watch their health drain. Frankly, adventuring without a Plague Doctor feels ridiculous, as their extreme versatility means they have something for every situation. Strategy: The Plague Doctor is your main support class, healing allies of both damage and afflictions while lobbing toxic explosives at the enemy that Blight and Blind them. The founder of Red team, and least shit-giving-est member of Red is Paumera who I have never sent to get de-stressed and has never broken the 50 stress threshold that this team seems to apply by….Pros: Healing, status cures, status afflictions, ranged attacksĬons: Low health, poor front row fighter, does damage over time rather than quicklyĬould be replaced by: Occultist, but not really - the Plague Doctor's too good to swap out I have ran 2 no-torch runs with them in a row, and have only had to send two of them to de-stress (because they were over 50 stress.) The point being: I have literally went as far as possible to try stressing this team out. Consisting of a Hellion, Leper, Houndmaster, and Gravedigger They actually have a super high damage threshold.
The luckiest, least stressed out, teams I have ever had. There is Green team, who have some of the oldest characters on that profile (including the plague doctor you get as part of your tutorial team) there is Blue team, they’re kinda my blitzing team, having high damage but a short operating time (thanks to the fact the only healer on Blue is a super stressed out Arbalest) and then…. On this new file I have set up three teams. I’ve been playing Darkest Dungeon a bit more since they went full release, and even went so far as making a new profile to inaugurate the completed game.
